The FINANCIAL — Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani met Ambassador of Ireland (residing in Sofia) Michael Forbes, who visited Georgia to present his credentials to the President of Georgia.
Talking points included bilateral and multilateral co-operation and prospects for further development of relations between the two countries. The sides underlined the successful co-operation in the spheres of economy, culture and sport. Michael Forbes reaffirmed the strong support for Georgia’s European aspirations.
David Zalkaliani in turn informed the Ambassador on the ongoing developments in the country, the current heavy security and humanitarian situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and in this context, underlined, the importance of international community’s active involvement in this process, according to MFA of Georgia.
David Zalkaliani wished Michael Forbes success in his future activity.
