The FINANCIAL — Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani held a meeting with Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy Elizabeth Rood.
The sides discussed issues relating to Georgia-U.S. co-operation both in bilateral and multilateral formats. Discussions also focused on the results of the meeting of the U.S.-Georgia Strategic Partnership Commission Working Group on People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges held on 15 December 2017 in Washington, according to MFA of Georgia.
Special attention was paid to the U.S. National Security Startegy document where Georgia fugures both in an individual and regional context – a further proof of high-level strategic relations between the U.S. and Georgia, as well as of the fact that ongoing processes in Georgia and in the region are put high on the agenda of the U.S. Administration.
Talking points also included various issues of priority in the relations between Georgia and the U.S. The sides expressed the hope that the year 2018 will continue to be successful in terms of deepening strategic partnership between the two countries.
