The FINANCIAL — Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani held a meetng with Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges Jamie Shea.
The sides discussed the issues relating to Georgia’s integration with NATO and preparations for the upcoming summit in Brussels, the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and aspects of practical co-operation between Georgia and NATO, according to MFA of Georgia.
Jamie Shea highlighted Georgia’s important contribution to the international peacekeeping missions underlining that Georgia is the largest troop contributor to the mission in Afghanistan among non-NATO countries. The sides also spoke about Georgia’s greater involvement in NATO’s efforts to strengthen security in the Black Sea Region.
David Zalkaliani provided Jamie Shea with detailed information regarding the preparation of the tenth annual national programme.
