Deficit Of Foreign Trade In Goods Totals USD 314.2 Billion In January

The FINANCIAL — In January, imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 314.2 million, the State Statistics Committee has informed.

In January 2010, the balance of foreign trade in goods worsened by USD 710.4 million compared to January 2009 (a positive balance of USD 396.2 million in January 2009).

In January, exports of goods made up USD 3,011.8 million, having increased by 23.6%, compared to January 2009.

The imports of goods made up USD 3,326 million, having increased by 63%.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in 2009 imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 5,732.7 million.

In 2009, the balance of foreign trade in goods improved by USD 12,848.2 million compared to 2008 (a deficit of USD 18,580.9 million in 2008).

In 2008, imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 18,531.9 million.

In 2008, the balance of foreign trade in goods worsened by USD 7,210 million, compared to 2007, when the negative balance made up USD 11,321.9 million.
