The FINANCIAL — In January-October, imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 6,855 million, the State Statistics Service has informed.
In January-October 2010, the balance of foreign trade in goods decreased by USD 2,566.4 million compared to January-October 2009 (a negative balance of USD 4,288.6 million in January-October 2009).
In January-October, exports of goods made up USD 41,000.2 million, having increased by 29.9%, compared to January-October 2009.
The imports of goods made up USD 47,855.2 million, having increased by 33.5%.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in January-September 2010, imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 5,427.5 million.
In 2009, the balance of foreign trade in goods improved by USD 12,848.2 million compared to 2008 (a deficit of USD 18,580.9 million in 2008).
President Viktor Yanukovych on December 9 reorganized the State Statistics Committee into the State Statistics Service.
