The FINANCIAL — Dell SecureWorks, an information security services provider that consistently receives the highest ratings from industry analysts, was recognized by a panel representing the audience of SC Magazine, as the top solution in the Reader Trust Award Best Managed Security Service category at the 2015 SC U.S. Awards.
The announcement was made April 21, 2015, at the SC Awards Gala in San Francisco, according to Dell.
“We are honored to win the SC Magazine U.S. Readers Trust award,” said Mike Cote, vice president and general manager, Dell SecureWorks. “In the past year we have focused on innovation, introducing two new services: an endpoint detection service and an advanced malware protection detection service to spot, analyze and help organizations remove any threats before they can do damage. This recognition confirms providing new services to help protect global organizations from emerging threats is the right strategy for our clients.”
Each year, hundreds of products and services are entered in the Reader Trust Award category and are judged by a panel representing a cross-section of SC Magazine readership, which is comprised of large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets, including financial services, healthcare, government, retail and education. Entrants are narrowed down to a select group of finalists before undergoing a rigorous final judging process to determine the winner in each category.
“The Reader Trust Award is unique because it represents the voice of the people who are using these products and services every day,” said Illena Armstrong, vice president, editorial, SC Magazine. “Dell SecureWorks’ managed security services were chosen as the Best Managed Security Services winner for their ability to meet and exceed the needs of its clients.”
The SC Awards, now in its 18th year, is lauded as one of the most prestigious awards for information technology (IT) security professionals and products. The awards recognize the best professionals, solutions and services that work around the clock to defend organizations from the constantly shifting threat landscape in today’s marketplace.
