The FINANCIAL — Delta is adding more service to the Triangle region, launching three daily, year-round flights between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport on Nov. 6, 2016.
The flights will be operated by Delta Connection carrier GoJet Airlines using two-class, 65-seat CRJ-700 jets, according to Delta.
“The Triangle is a key market for Delta, and we are committed to supporting this growing community’s demand for service,” said Victoria Forbes-Roberts, Vice President – Pricing and Revenue Management. “With our investments in new service, the airport, and surrounding cities, Delta’s goal is to become the global carrier of choice for the region.”
Delta, which is the largest airline at RDU with 66 peak day departures to 21 destinations, recently launched Paris-Charles De Gaulle service in April, Salt Lake City service in March and plans to begin four daily flights to Reagan Washington National Airport on Aug. 1. Delta has grown Raleigh seat capacity by over 60 percent since 2010.
Later this summer, Delta, in its effort to continue investing in the airport and community, will begin renovations of its Sky Club to almost double its seating capacity and floor space, as well as construct its first KaBOOM playground.
