The FINANCIAL — Following a company-record nine nominations this year, Delta has won three Travel Weekly Readers Choice Awards for 2015.
Recognizing its industry-leading operational reliability and thoughtful continuous upgrades to products and services, Travel Weekly readers voted Delta Top Airline Overall, Best Domestic Airline and Best Sales and Service.
The announcement came last night during the 13th annual Readers Choice Awards Gala, held at the Conrad Hotel in New York City, according to Delta.
“We are honored to win awards, but we are more honored that the work we’re doing is delivering on the needs of our travel partners,” said Kristen Shovlin, Vice President – Commercial Operations, who accepted Delta’s award for Best Sales and Service at the Gala. “Awards like this generate pride, and they recognize the employees worldwide who drive our success.”
In addition, Travel Weekly readers have selected Delta Vacations as Best Tour Operator, Domestic Package. Delta Vacations was also named Best Tour Operator, Overall.
The awards for Delta and Delta Vacations follow a company-wide campaign launched this summer encouraging travel agents to participate in the voting process. The campaign highlighted Delta’s pledge to providing travel agency partners with the products and services they need to better serve their clients.
