The FINANCIAL — Royal Jordanian significantly increased the frequency of its operations to several destinations on its route network in response to the growing demand to travel on board RJ aircraft during this summer season.
The airline increased flight frequencies operated to and from Amman to more than 110 daily.
RJ President/CEO Hussein Dabbas pointed out that this year’s summer months will see a notable demand on travel on board RJ from many regional and international cities to Amman, particularly from the Arab Gulf, the Middle East, North America and Europe.
"Dabbas also mentioned that seat bookings for July and August show record figures for the first time in RJ’s history. He said that preliminary booking figures for July exceeded 320,000, and are still ongoing, resulting in more flights to destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Doha, Manama, Jeddah, Dammam, Kuwait, Beirut, Cairo, Istanbul, Damascus, Aleppo and Chicago," RJ informs.
In light of the growing flight frequencies, Dabbas added, RJ is operating four daily flights to Beirut, three daily flights to Dubai, Cairo and Jeddah, two daily flights to Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Damascus, Aqaba, Kuwait and Aleppo, and one daily flight to Chicago, Bahrain and Doha. In addition, RJ has regular daily flights to Baghdad, Bangkok, Colombo, Riyadh, Sharm El-Sheikh, Frankfurt and London.
Dabbas attributed the growing demand on travel on board RJ to the trust that passengers have in Royal Jordanian and to the major improvements the airline has been witnessing. RJ operates a modern fleet of aircraft, offers distinguished services in the air and on the ground, is punctual and ensures effortless travel procedures, most of which are now automated and computerized, and carried out through the company's website.
Dabbas added that “among the other reasons of this remarkable demand is that RJ owns a broad route network which covers 58 global cities served by the airline directly from Amman, in addition to over 750 other destinations served in collaboration with RJ’s partners, members of the oneworld airline alliance, using one ticket at a competitive price. RJ has been allies with ten big names in the airline industry since 2007."
