The FINANCIAL — More than 4.3 million passengers passed through Denver International Airport (DEN) this February, a 3.3 percent increase over February 2017, marking the busiest February in Denver aviation history.
The announcement follows recent news that DEN has reclaimed the spot for fifth-busiest airport in the United States, welcoming 61.4 million travelers in 2017.
“We are delighted to see continued growth in the number of passengers who visit DEN, including an eight percent increase in international traffic compared to February last year,” said DEN CEO Kim Day. “As more and more people pass through our gates, we’re adding capacity and amenities to meet the needs of our passengers and to further enhance their experiences while traveling.”
Mail, freight and express cargo operations also saw increased levels in February, with 43,644,943 pounds of cargo – an increase of 4.5 percent compared to the same month in 2017, according to Denver International Airport.
