The FINANCIAL — Denver International Airport (DEN) continues to see more passengers on a monthly basis. In November, almost 4.7 million passengers passed through DEN – marking the busiest November in Denver history, with an increase from November 2015 of 311,952 passengers.
A total of 4,695,897 passengers passed through the airport in November. Year-to-date passenger traffic at DEN totaled 53,441,291, 8.1 percent higher than during this same time in 2015, according to Denver International Airport.
November was the 15th consecutive record-setting month for passenger traffic at DEN, a streak that dates back to September 2015. DEN officials estimate that the airport passed the 55 million passenger mark for the first time in history on Sun., December 11.
Mail, freight and express cargo operations saw 46,928,593 pounds of cargo in November 2016, an increase of 16.9 percent compared to November 2015. This increase can be attributed to a downward spike in cargo volume in November 2015; November 2016 overall cargo volume was in-line with previous months in 2016.
