The FINANCIAL — Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer has informed Deutsche Bank AG that he is no longer available for re-election on to the company's Supervisory Board to be elected at the Annual General Meeting of Deutsche Bank AG on May 29, 2008.
The Supervisory Board has taken note of this decision with respect and thanks Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer for his many years of successful work on the Supervisory Board and its committees.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Clemens Börsig, stated: "We have every reason to thank Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer for the exceptional commitment with which he has always supported and served the bank."
The Supervisory Board will propose to the forthcoming Annual General Meeting that Dr. Johannes Teyssen be elected on to the Supervisory Board in his place. Dr. Johannes Teyssen is Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer of E.ON AG, and has extensive experience both in the energy industry and in the corporate governance of major German corporations.
