The FINANCIAL — On October 7, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili held a meeting with the founder of the Seed Forum Ukraine Foundation, Dimitri Polodiev. The Head of the LEPL Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency, Irakli Kashibadze and the head of the Head of the LEPL Entrepreneurship Development Agency Ani Kvaratskhelia and other officials also attended the meeting.
Investments to be implemented in Georgia by the Seed Forum Foundation upon the allocation of the funds by Norwegian government were discussed during the meeting, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
See Forum Foundation aims to assist the development of innovations and entrepreneurship in Georgia and the main objective is to form the innovation hub (iHab) in the country. The project shall promote the creation of so called “Georgian Silicon Valley” that will play an important role in county development. The project duration is 2 years.
LEPL Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development shall represent Georgia in the Project, since the encouragement of the innovative entrepreneurship and attracting investment into the field is the main priority of this institution. This Project is a tool for creation of jobs, increasing incomes and seizing the new investment opportunities.
