The FINANCIAL — First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili had a meeting with the United Arab Emirates Minister of Culture, Youth, and Social Development, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
According to the First Vice Prime Minister, the Sheikh expressed interest in further investments in Georgia and namely, in the hotel industry.
“Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan announced the doubling of investments in Georgia last year at the One Belt, One Road Forum in Tbilisi. Today we discussed specific projects regarding the construction of new hotels in Georgia,” – Dimitri Kumsishvili said after the meeting. According to Kumsishvili, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan is one of the leading investors in Georgia whose investments reach hundreds of millions of dollars. Among the large investments of the Sheikh the Tera Bank and the Biltmore Hotel should be particularly noted.
Dimitri Kumsishvili is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates where he held meetings with senior officials of the country and heads of the leading companies of the Emirates. The First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia also participated in the final discussion of the Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai, where he talked about Georgia’s reforms and economic tendencies.
At the same time, the First Vice Prime Minister, within the framework of the Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai, held a presentation on Georgia’s investment opportunities and illustrated the issue in details to the international investors, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
