The FINANCIAL — First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Dimitry Kumsishvili participated in the opening ceremony of two additional reservoirs of the Kulevi Oil Terminal. Minister of Energy, Ilia Eloshvili as well as the President of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev and other officials also attended the ceremony.
Conforming to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Azerbaijan is and will remain a strategic partner of Georgia. According to him, the large investment project is another proof of the international confidence to the Investment Climate maintained by the Georgian Government. Dimitry Kumishvili took a positive view of the SOCAR Terminal Investment in Georgia, which has led to the creation of more than 600 jobs and is supposed to bring the additional income to the country, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
Additional terminal park construction began in 2015. #5 New Reservoir Park consists of 6 reservoirs with a total capacity of 60 000 m3. The facility is envisaged to receive, store and load a variety of products, including – gasoil, kerosene, hydrocarbon gas condensate, diesel and aviation fuel – imported/exported from the Caspian region. Reportedly, the estimated oil and oil products annual turnover of the facility will reach 1 500 000 in the future.
#6 New Reservoir Park consists of 5 reservoirs with a total capacity of 12 000 m3, including 2 units – 3000 m3 and 3 units – 2000 m3. The Reservoir Park has been designed for storing the liquid pyrolysis resin, isopropyl alcohol and industrial oils.
The Integrated Management System of the Black Sea Terminal was certified in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 1400 & OHSAS 18001 standards by the UKAS Accredited Certification Organization – Moody International, in 2008.
