Dimitry Kumsishvili: “State economic policy is fully supported by the International Monetary Fund”

The FINANCIAL — “Our state economic policy is fully supported by the International Monetary Fund,” – the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili stated at today’s press conference.

Dimitry Kumsishvili highlighted that the board of the International Monetary Fund made a decision to approve the first assessment of Georgia and support the economic policy of our country. Besides, the Minister added that the program of the International Monetary Fund itself is built on the 4-point plan thus supporting the development plan of the Government of Georgia.

As Dimitry Kumsishvili commented, the survey of the International Monetary Fund confirms that Georgia will keep up the economic growth under the conditions of the fall of inflation from the following year, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

“It is obvious that Georgia’s foreign position will be improved. The annual budget envisages both fiscal consolidation, as well as all budget parameters for macroeconomic growth,”- the First Vice Minister noted.
