The FINANCIAL — Dnipropetrovsk-based Dniproavia air company is ready to acquire the 61.58-percent stake in Kyiv-based Ukraine International Airlines air company for UAH 516.841 million.
This is disclosed in an open letter of the air company to chairman of the State Property Fund Oleksandr Riabchenko.
According to the letter, Dniproavia can not only acquire the stockholding, but is also ready to attract funds for renewal of air fleet and provide other measures to improve production and economic indicators of the Ukraine International Airlines.
At the same time, the company considers that the only opportunity to obtain fair market price for the stockholding is the application of competitive way of its sale.
According to Dniproavia, it would allow the state to receive the fairest market price for the stockholding.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the State Property Fund announced in November that it had decided to privatize 61.58% of the shares in Ukraine International Airlines.
According to the "Top 100 Ukrainian Business Leaders" ranking, Ukraine International Airlines was one of the three leading airline companies in Ukraine in terms of net revenues (UAH 1.81 billion) in 2008.
