The FINANCIAL — KLM Royal Dutch Airlines won two prizes on Friday at TravMagazine’s “Reisgala”, an annual travel industry awards event held at Amsterdam Arena.

KLM was voted Best Airline and Harm Kreulen, SVP Benelux Air France KLM, was voted Travel Personality of the Year.

TravMagazine is a news platform and weekly for and about the travel industry. Anyone working in this branch was allowed to place votes in 17 categories, and to vote for an additional three awards, of which Travel Personality of the Year was one, according to KLM.

Harm Kreulen is especially proud of the recognition the KLM brand has received.

“It is clear that all the efforts we made in 2016 have borne fruit. This is a major compliment to everyone who has dedicated energy to raising the KLM brand to a higher level. All aspects of the operation come into play here: punctuality, onboard service, and customer focus. The awards confirm this,” Harm Kreulen, Air France-KLM Senior Vice President Benelux.
