The FINANCIAL — Dubai International the world’s number one hub for international passengers, has been named the Favourite Airport for Layovers at the Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards Middle East recently.
In the category Favourite Airport for a Layover, the top three nominees, as voted by readers of Conde Nast Traveller Middle East, were Dubai International, Hamad International Airport, Doha and Singapore Changi Airport, according to DXB.

DXB was voted as the favourite among the international hubs based on 24/7 availability of a wide variety of contemporary food and beverage options, a top-class range of retail brands, the comfort of the airside hotels, and unique services such as concourse spa treatments and sleeping pods.
The Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards Middle East are the region’s most prestigious annual awards, honouring the best of the best in luxury travel and hospitality. From July 2015, readers of Conde Nast Traveller Middle East filled out an online survey, nominating and voting for their favourite travel experiences, properties and operators. The votes were collected and audited, and the winners announced at the black tie Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah on November 11.
Conde Nast Traveller Middle East is the region’s foremost authority on the luxury travel lifestyle, having launched in Dubai in December 2013. The magazine is published monthly and is a showcase of award-winning travel photography and features.
