The FINANCIAL — A workshop was held in Tbilisi last week to discuss regulatory approaches to broadband, organised by the Georgian National Communications Commission as part of the EU-supported Eastern Partnership regulatory harmonization platform (EaPeReg), according to the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre.
The event brought together experts from National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) from all 6 countries of the Eastern Partnership and from 7 NRAs of EU Member States.
Participants shared their experience, highlighting the approaches to broadband, including best practice in infrastructure sharing, universal service, access regulation and other issues, the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre.
The EaPeReg project aims to contribute to the development of partner countries by supporting the development of their electronic communications markets through long-term cooperation between the EU and EaP countries.
