The FINANCIAL — A group of 15 Georgian companies from agrifood and tourism last month visited the Netherlands, in the framework of the East Invest project’s ‘Roadshow Facility’, aiming to find new business opportunities and learn more about the latest technology and innovation used in growing vegetables and fruit.
According to a press release, around 90 Dutch companies were interested in doing business with the Georgian companies. During the visit, participants visited a modern Dutch greenhouse and some travel agencies in The Hague, where they became acquainted with the marketing tools they use and discussed future cooperation.
In the framework of a Business Forum, the Georgian SMEs were informed about export promotion tools in the Netherlands and ongoing/future projects for the Georgian SMEs to be involved in.
East Invest is a regional investment and trade facilitation project for the economic development of the Eastern Neighbourhood region, launched in the framework of the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative. It targets business support organisations and SMEs from the six Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine). East Invest is funded by the European Union, managed by EUROCHAMBRES, and implemented by the East Alliance.
