The FINANCIAL — Low-cost airline easyJet Plc. on November 5 reported that it carried 6.40 million passengers in the month of October, a growth of 9.7 percent from 5.84 million passengers carried in the same month last year.
The company noted that passengers represent the number of earned seats flown, according to Nasdaq.
Load factor, which stands for the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of seats available for passengers, improved 2.5 percentage points to 93.3 percent from 90.9 percent a year ago.
For the rolling 12 months that ended in October, passengers increased 6.3 percent to 69.19 million and load factor grew 1 percentage points to 91.7 percent.
Looking ahead, easyJet said its full-year profit before tax guidance continues to be within a range of 675 million pounds to 700 million pounds for the year to 30 September 2015.
