The FINANCIAL — According to leading Georgian Tour operators, Egypt and Turkey will be the top destinations this winter. As most tour operators agree, Egypt was the most demanded destination last winter.
“Egypt will be the most demanded place to visit this year,” said Ella Karapetyan, Director of BusinessTravelCom. “An all inclusive package for two persons in a 3 star hotel costs 1,355 USD. In 4 star hotels prices start from 1,400 USD and in 5 star hotels – 2,000 USD. Ultra all inclusive package prices start from 4,500 USD,” said Karapetyan from BusinessTravelCom.
“For a 10 day, 2 person winter holiday in Dubai including transfer, air tickets, insurance and stay in a 3 star hotel, prices start from 1,300 USD. In a 4 star hotel prices start from 1,400 USD and in a 5 star hotel, from 1,500 USD,” she added.
Maia Gvaramia, Travel Club Manager, says Georgians visit Egypt because of the lower prices.
“Austrian winter resort prices are quite expensive. 10 day accommodation costs 600-700 EUR. In the Czech Republic prices start from 250 EUR,” Gvaramia said.
The Travel Club representative says that the majority of hotels in Georgian ski resorts Bakuriani and Gudauri are already booked for the New Year.
Gudauri hotel prices start from 120-140 USD per night. In Bakuriani – 50 GEL and higher.
“People prefer to spend their winter holidays abroad than to spend nearly the same amount of money on Georgian resorts,” said Beka Tujishvili, Travel Club.
A one week tour to Europe costs 790 EUR, according to Elite Travel.
The price includes the air ticket for the route Tbilisi-Prague-Barcelona-Prague-Tbilisi, transfer from airport to airport, 3* hotel for 7 nights with breakfast, travel insurance and a tour in the city.
A one week trip to Prague costs 635 EUR. The price includes air tickets for the route Tbilisi-Prague-Tbilisi, transfer, 3* hotel for 6 nights with breakfast, travel insurance and a tour in the city Prague.
A one week trip to Amsterdam costs 750 EUR. The price includes air tickets for the route Tbilisi-Amsterdam-Tbilisi, transfer, 3* hotel for 7 nights, travel insurance and a tour in the city Amsterdam.
A one week trip to Paris costs 830 EUR at Elit Tour.
