The FINANCIAL — Deputy Minister Ekaterine Mikabadze and Deputy Minister Genadi Arveladze represented the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development at the traditional annual international donor organizations’ working group workshop.
The session was dedicated to the programs that need the support of the international donors. Representatives of different international donor organizations operating in Georgia also attended the meeting.
“We discussed such important topics as the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU and the related issues as well. We also talked about customs, transport, infrastructure and other directions of economy where we see the need for donor facilitation,” – the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Genadi Arveladze stated upon completion of the meeting. He also noted that the coordination of the activities of the donor organization with the existing needs is of outmost importance.
“We agreed on coordination with the different agencies in order to clearly estimate their needs to be addressed by the donors. We expect to receive significant assistance in different sectors,” – Arveladze added.
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Ekaterine Mikabadze introduced a presentation on the SME strategy.
First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Nodar Kereselidze and the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Irakli Matkava also participated in the workshop, according toMinistry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
The workshop of the Economic Working Group on Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Growth was co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Genadi Arveladze and the Head of the EU Delegation Cooperation Section, Vincent Rey. This Group operates in close cooperation with the Service of Coordination with Donor Organizations if the Georgian Government Administration.
