The FINANCIAL — President of the Republic of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia visited the “Jikia House” complex, which is one of the best examples of Georgian-Estonian successful business cooperation.
Estonian President and the invited guests examined the residential complex. Kersti Kaljulaid symbolically planted a maple tree in the year of the complex, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
“This is one of the signs of maturity of our businesses, business societies and business communities. You well know, the businessperson always goes and invests in a place that is considered as comfortable business environment and our businesspersons find that investing in Georgia is a good value for Estonian money,” – Estonian President noted during her speech.
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Gakharia expressed gratefulness to the President of Estonia and noted that Mrs. Kersti Kaljulaid’s visit to the construction complex has a symbolic meaning since it can be considered as a great support of the large investments and activities carried out by the Estonian business representatives in Georgia.
“Today, we have discussed numerous political and economic issues and I think it is the most important – such visits and investments enhance the relationship between people and the environment that has been created here today is very important in terms of friendship between the two countries, and, honestly, I want to thank Georgian and Estonian investors who have implemented this project and still continue to work on it,” – Giorgi Gakharia noted.
It is worth mentioning that Jikia House is over 20 million GEL investment project. The construction of the housing complex was launched in 2013 and will be accomplished by 2021. Over 700 families are already living in the complex. “Jikia House” is equipped with the complete precinct infrastructure including green area, well-equipped square, internal pedestrian pathway, children’s entertainment spots, exercise and leisure zone, stadium and pool.
