The FINANCIAL–more than 30 Georgian entrepreneurs presented and sold their products at the Kazbegoba festival, a traditional festival in the country’s Mtskheta-Mtianeti region.
The event was supported by the EU through its European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD). It was held alongside the Phudzeoba regional folk festival and a farmers’ festival.
The festival also involved a traditional Georgian martial arts show and various sporting and entertainment activities.
The EU supports rural development in Georgia through its ENPARD programme. Aiming to reduce rural poverty, ENPARD has been implemented since 2013. The first phase of ENPARD focused on developing national agriculture potential, while the second and third phases focus on creating economic opportunities for the rural population that go beyond agricultural activities.
