The FINANCIAL — The Delegation of the European Union to Armenia launched a communication campaign on 1 February to raise awareness of the negative effects of corruption and highlight the EU’s efforts to fight corruption in Armenia.
The “Stop the Flow of Corruption” campaign was developed in cooperation with the Government of Armenia, anti-corruption experts, civil society representatives and the private sector. The communication campaign showcases typical examples of bribery, conflicts of interest and oligopoly and their harmful effects on economic growth, according to EU Neighbours East Info.
On the launch of another important anti-corruption initiative, “The Art of (anti) Corruption”, Piotr Świtalski, Head of the EU Delegation, highlighted: “The EU is helping Armenia to combat corruption; corruption is one of the greatest obstacles to Armenia’s development both today and tomorrow”.
“We have helped Armenia in different ways and at different levels – we support both government and CSO anti-corruption initiatives. Combining anti-corruption efforts at different levels Armenia can adopt and use international best practice”.
