The FINANCIAL — The European Commission said it is considering calling an urgent gas coordination group meeting to be held over Gazprom`s latest dispute with Ukraine, according to Thompson Financial.
A commission spokesman said the Russian utility, which this morning cut natural gas supplies to Ukraine by 25 pct as part of an ongoing payment dispute, has provided assurances that the EU will not be affected.
The spokesman said the commission hopes the two sides will find a solution and added that it is considering calling a meeting of the gas coordination group meeting.
