The FINANCIAL — Pupils from Belarus, Ukraine and Poland recently participated in several rounds of the Summer Youth Academy, organised within the EU-funded Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Cross-border Cooperation (CBC) Programme.
The young people participated in various thematic workshops and learned about the customs and cultures of their counterparts from other countries. They also visited the towns of Białowieża and Drohiczyn.
The activities organised in the Polish village of Zwierzyń included visits to the Bieszczady mountains, a local dam and an open-air museum in the town of Sanok in the south-east of the country.
The Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Cross-border Cooperation Programme supports cross-border development processes in the bordering regions of Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. In the period 2014–2020, the programme focuses on the promotion of economic and social development and addresses common challenges in relation to the environment, public health, safety and security. It also works to promote better conditions and modalities for better mobility of persons, goods and capital.
