The FINANCIAL — “I was appalled to learn of the assassination of Pavel Sheremet in Kyiv today,” Jim Couzens, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the EU Delegation to Belarus said reacting to today’s news of the explosion of the car driven by Pavel Sheremet, a journalist of Belarusian origin, in the centre of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
“Pavel Sheremet was an important Belarusian journalist who did so much for free speech in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. On behalf of the EU Delegation to Belarus I would like to offer my deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. I hope there will be a thorough and conclusive investigation into this heinous crime,” added Jim Couzens, according to Euro East.
