The FINANCIAL — A group of entrepreneurs in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro recently had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on how to develop a successful export strategy. The dialogue-driven workshop was organised with the support of the EU4Business initiative and led by Irish expert Roddy Feely.
Feely told his audience it was essential to evaluate their business and analyse the advantages and disadvantages each year, according to EU Neighbours East Info.
“In Ireland, the population is 4.6 million and exports are the only chance for a business to become promising,” he said. “I have great experience in industry – 24 years! I have held senior management positions in sales and marketing, operations, general management and development strategies. I want to share those tools that will help Ukrainian entrepreneurs to conquer foreign markets.”
The participants were advised to rethink their motivation and strategy for entering export markets and to start a journey based on adequate market research, having studied the routes to the market.
The workshop was organised by the Dnipro Business Support Centre, which is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres. The network was created to improve the competitiveness and profitability of Ukrainian businesses through the provision of business advice and capacity building.
