The FINANCIAL — The EU-funded TAIEX initiative presented its findings and recommendations on 9 February in Baku. The findings were based on a peer review mission focused on road, rail and combined transport.
During a workshop entitled “Support the Government of Azerbaijan in the legal approximation of the Rail, Road and Combined Transport to the EU Acquis”, EU experts provided an overview of the sectors. The overview covered governance and legal approximation, with a focus on safety and security, social standards, state aid control and market liberalisation.
TAIEX aims at supporting the approximation of national laws, regulations and quality standards to those of EU Member States in the framework of Cooperation or Association agreements signed with the EU, according to EU Neighbours East Info.
