The FINANCIAL — Three new projects were launched in Georgia under the European Union’s EU4Youth initiative.
These projects target Georgian youth – particularly young people from disadvantaged backgrounds – by improving their employment perspectives, fostering their entrepreneurial potential and helping them develop indispensable skills for the labour market.
The projects already began implementation in spring 2018 and their main activities, as well as some of their initial results, were presented during the official launch event in Tbilisi.
The “EU4Youth: Better skills for a better future” project has launched a comprehensive labour market assessment to identify what skills and professions are in highest demand, what the education sector offers and how young people fit into the overall picture.
The “EU4Youth: Fostering potential for greater employability” project has been conducting interviews with Georgian authorities, companies and labour market organisations, with a view to consolidating or establishing partnerships on youth issues.
Meanwhile, “EU4Youth: SAY YES-Skills for jobs” have also been focusing their efforts on discussing possibilities for improved coordination with key stakeholders in the youth sector.
Each of the three projects will also implement other activities aiming to increase the employability of young Georgians, develop their skills and promote their active participation in society.
