The FINANCIAL — The EU on October 7 launched a new Twinning project to build capacity at the Employment Support Services (ESS) in Georgia. The event gathered together officials from Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic, who are providing specialists to work with their Georgian counterparts.
The aim of the €1.1 million project is to provide complex institutional and capacity building to empower the ESS through the delivery of well-targeted, high-quality, gender-sensitive and cost-effective services to job seekers, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
During 18 months, experts from the three EU countries will work together to build the capacity of the Social Service Agency of Georgia with key actions including training, employment service for job-seekers and employers, and promoting entrepreneurship.
The project will also help meet the obligations arising from the Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia.
