The FINANCIAL — The EU Advisory Mission (EUAM) to Ukraine has handed over 18 computers to the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) to help it set up its IT infrastructure, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
Speaking at the handover, Harald Ciarlo, Strategic Prosecutorial Reform Adviser of EUAM, said NABU was one of the Mission’s priority partners and that EUAM would continue supporting the agency in its difficult, but very important task for Ukraine.
“Although strategic advice is the main focus of EUAM activities, today the Mission is contributing with physical IT equipment to the work of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. We hope that these computers will facilitate the work of the detectives,” he said.
EUAM aims to strengthen and support the reform of the civilian security sector in Ukraine, enhancing their legitimacy in all areas and communities of Ukraine and thus increasing public confidence and trust, in full respect for Human Rights.
