The FINANCIAL — A hospital in the Ukrainian town of Vosnesensk is to be retrofitted in order to become more energy efficient. These works are being sponsored under the EU-supported “Covenant of Mayors –Demonstration Projects” programme.
The hospital building façade will be insulated, the windows and doors will be upgraded with energy-efficient replacements, and the electricity and ventilation systems will be changed. An online system will also allow energy consumption to be monitored.
It is expected that the retrofitting works will finish in November 2018. As a result, the hospital will be able to save 62% of its energy consumption and costs on utility bills.
