The FINANCIAL — An EU-funded project is supporting businesses of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine, including providing compensation for business loans and costs for the development of business plans, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
A round table was held in the city of Vinnytsia this week to explain the opportunities and selection criteria for assistance to displaced entrepreneurs. The project aims to create favorable conditions for entrepreneurship and transfer of business, providing information and consulting support to IDPs, as well as financial incentives for entrepreneurial activity and employment.
The EU-funded project ‘Adaptation center for IDPs and entrepreneurs from ATO zone and Crimea in Vinnytsia region’ is implemented within the EU Programme of ‘Support to Ukraine’s Regional Development Policy’. It is one of nearly 20 projects to support IDPs in Ukraine, with a total allocation of €17 million funded by the EU.
