The FINANCIAL — Around 12 female entrepreneurs from the Kyiv, Kharkiv and Sumy regions of Ukraine recently participated in a training seminar entitled ‘Keys to Financial Management’, organised under the EU4Business initiative.
The participants improved their understanding of financial planning and reporting, how to identify and minimise risks, and how to negotiate with banks, venture companies and business ‘angels’.
The participants brought a diverse range of experiences to the course as they represented various sectors: from an entrepreneur dealing with the cultivation, processing and export of aromatic oils to the founder of a network of children’s polyclinics that provide paediatric consultations. Other businesses included a restaurant, a company manufacturing flexible packaging for the food industry and a beauty service,
The event was organised by the Business Support Centre of Sumy, with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the EU4Business initiative. The Sumy Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and profitability of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises through the provision of business advice and capacity building.
