The FINANCIAL — The EU’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency recently announced the selection results of the 2018 Call for Proposals under the EU’s Erasmus+ Programme for projects relating to Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education.
In total, 147 projects have been selected for funding, including six projects from Ukraine. The projects will begin implementing their activities from either October 2018 or January 2019.
The six winning projects will focus on a range of areas, from modernisation of educational programmes in transport engineering, digital competence and master programmes for future judges, prosecutors and investigators, to innovative rehabilitation education, journalism and mediation.
The six projects have a total of 37 implementing partners from Ukraine, including 26 higher education institutions, two enterprises, three non-governmental organisations and the country’s Education and Science Ministry.
The Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education action supports the modernisation of higher education. During the period 2015–2018, 464 projects were submitted to four calls for proposals. Numerous Ukrainian universities have participated in the calls, and as a result 30 projects including Ukrainian partners have been selected for funding over four years, resulting in the participation of 90 Ukrainian institutions.
