The FINANCIAL — Taiwan’s one of the leading independent airlines, EVA Air ranks top ten for “The World’s Best Airlines of 2015” and the first place for “Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness of 2015” category at SKYTRAK’s annual World Airline Awards. Presented at the Paris Air Show on 16th June 2015, the accolade was voted for by passengers across the globe that participated in the World Airline Survey, the largest passenger satisfaction survey covering full service and low cost airlines across the globe.
The World Airline Awards, also known as the Passengers Choice Awards have set the global benchmark of airline excellence and highlight the results of SKYTRAX’s World Airline Survey, which key objective is to encourage travellers to come to their own decisions on which airline they deem to be the most impressive. With no predetermined nomination list the survey and awards system welcomes opinions of travellers from across the world about any airline thus ensuring impartial and independent results, according to EVA Air.
Covering over 200 airlines, results were surveyed over the telephone, through questionnaires and online about passenger experiences with airlines on the ground and in the air with more than 38 key performance indicators of airline front-line product and service, including check-in, boarding, onboard seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, beverages, in-flight entertainment and staff service during a 10-month period.
EVA Air’s primary target is to enhance the in-flight experience on all aircrafts across its portfolio. Being based on measuring customer satisfaction, this most recent accolade is evidence that the airline still continues to improve its service to provide an unforgettable and comfortable flying experience for its passengers. Ranking first this year builds on EVA Air’s previous accolades including being ranked the “Best Airline Staff in Asia” by SKYTRAX in 2012 and being named in the “World’s Top 10 Airlines in Asia” and “Best Long-Haul Airline Asia/Pacific” in December 2014 by AirlineRatings.com.
