The FINANCIAL — It is difficult to underestimate the role of Ukraine and other Black Sea countries in the world grain trade, and solution of the problem of global famine.
During the recent decade, the Black Sea countries occupied the good position in the TOP-10 producers and exporters of grains, and many countries of the North Africa, Middle East and Central Asia connect own hopes of getting rid of the hunger problems with the further growth of grain production in the region.
At the same time, in the terms of the global economic crisis, agriculture of the Black Sea region is experiencing the significant shortage of investment and considerable pressure from the government institutions of their countries, which are concerned with food securing for the domestic market at stable prices, first of all.
What should be the balance between the domestic market and the supply of grains for exports? What hopes does the global community connect with the Black Sea grain markets?
Members of the II Ukrainian Grain Congress will be able to hear the answers to these and other equally pressing issues during the presentation of Eugenia Serova, Senior Adviser of the International Center of the Investments of FАО UNO and Aleksey Gavrilov, President of the International Association of Trade of grain and fodder GAFTA.
