The FINANCIAL — External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 2 823.8 million in January-March 2018 (preliminary data), 23.3 percent higher year-on-year.
The value of export increased by 28.4 percent reaching USD 740.3 million, while the import grew by 21.6 percent and amounted to USD 2 083.4 million. The trade deficit equaled USD 1 343.1 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 47.6 percent, according to GeoStat.
