The FINANCIAL — Paul Roberts has been appointed finance director of boutique hotel brands Malmaison and Hotel du Vin.
According to Caterer and Hotelkeeper, Roberts, 42, who takes up the role in March, joins the two groups from De Vere Hotels where he was finance director of 11 hotels including Cameron House on Loch Lomond and the Grand at Brighton. He has followed his former De Vere colleague Gary Davis who recently took over from Robert Cook as chief executive of Malmaison and Hotel du Vin after resigning as chief executive of De Vere Village, a brand of 26 hotels within the De Vere Group.
Prior to De Vere, Roberts spent six years as finance director of the Morgans Hotel Group's five-star properties in London. He has also worked with MacDonald Hotels and Raffles International.
