The first Berlin Demography Forum will take place from January 12 until January 13, 2012. Initiators of this conference series include the German Ministry for Family Affairs , the European School of Management and Technology and the Allianz Foundation Forum.
The forum offers a global, cross-party platform for dialog and is designed as an annual conference on a variety of topics surrounding demographic challenges. The very first conference in 2012 will focus on the topic "Families, children, and society."Demographic change is a key driver for many societal challenges such as old-age provision, health, capital market development or education. How can we plan for tomorrow’s population patterns?
The event is intended to bring leading politicians, scientists, economists, and representatives of civil society together in order to debate possible routes towards sustainable development. Leading up to the event, Allianz.com will be providing updates about the forum and insights into some of its core topics.
