The FINANCIAL — First Deputy Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze took part in the Informal Meeting of the BSEC Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs held on the sidelines of the Seventieth Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania and BSEC Chairman-in-Office Bogdan Aurescu chaired the informal meeting where discussions focused on the issues relating to co-operation and the agenda of the Organisation, according to MFA of Georgia.
Participants of the meeting emphasised the need to further develop and increase the effectiveness of the Organization, as well as to intensify co-operation and to carry out effective economic projects within the framework of BSEC.
European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn also attended the BSEC informal meeting. He expressed the readiness to further deepen co-operation between the Organisation and the European Union.
