The FINANCIAL — In January 2016, the share of flour in the general exports of food products from Kazakhstan reached 97.5%, as opposed to 96.5% in January 2015, declared the President of Grain Processors and Bakers Union of Kazakhstan, Evgeny Gan on April 12, during his speech at the Caspian and Black Sea Agrarian Congress in Azerbaijan.
He said that in the first month of the current year, the share of rice in the general foodstuffs exports from Kazakhstan totaled 1.4%, meat – 1.1% (in January 2015, the indices totaled 2.2% and 1.3%, respectively).
The share of food industry exports in the general structure of commodity supplies on foreign markets is very low (2.8% in 2015). During several recent years, there was not observed any significant changes in the structure of foodstuffs exports – flour, meat and rice take the dominant positions, said E.Gan, accoridng to APK-Inform.
Also, the expert said that in 2015, Kazakhstan reduced the export volumes of flour by 35 thsd tonnes compared with 2014 – to 1.809 mln tonnes.
