The FINANCIAL — Foreign Minister of Ukraine Konstyantyn Hryshchenko will pay a working visit to Brussels on October 25-26.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, head of the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleksandr Dikusarov said this during the press conference. During the visit an annual traditional meeting Ukraine-EU at the level of Foreign Ministers will be held.
High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Vice President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton will head the EU delegation.
The meeting will be dedicated to discussion of issues concerning internal development of Ukraine and EU, main directions of the cooperation between Ukraine and EU, and also regional and international issues. K. Hryshchenko will meet with Stefan Füle, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy and Cecilia Malmström, EU Commissioner for Home Affairs. During these meetings special attention will be paid to issues of the negotiations on concluding of an agreement on association and free visa regime dialogue Ukraine-EU.
Moreover, K. Hryshchenko will meet with key representatives of the political forces of the European parliament and will discuss the issues of internal political development of Ukraine, in particular, preparation for local election. During his stay in Brussels K. Hryshchenko will take part in a public event organized by the Centre for European Policy Studies and the German Marshall Fund. During the meeting with his Belgian colleague Steven Vanackere K. Hryshchenko will discuss perspectives of the bilateral Ukrainian – Belgian cooperation.
