The FINANCIAL — The idea of foundation of the trilateral grain pool of Kazakhstan-Russia-Ukraine is currently uncertain, declared Sabit Kashkinbaev, Director of the Department of grain resource management of Food Contract Corporation.
According to him, the idea is good, but its realization requires a huge number of participants, including the rail way structure, harbor structures and private structures of the three countries. And the realization is quite questionable to date, he said on December 5. At the same time, he stressed that Kazakhstan is ready to accede to the further discussing all options on the initiative.
Previously, it was reported that Nikolai Azarov, Prime Minister of Urkaine, who was on a visit to Kazakhstan, offered to return to the idea of foundation of the tripartite Black Sea grain pool in the format of Ukraine-Kazakhstan-Russia.
According to forecasts of agricultural Ministries of the three countries, in the current agricultural year Russia may export nearly 25 mln tonnes of grains, Ukraine – 27 mln tonnes, Kazakhstan – 15 mln tonnes.
