The FINANCIAL — The French jobless rate was stable in the second quarter at 10.3%, French national statistics agency Insee said on September 3, according to Nasdaq.
The figure includes data from continental France and overseas districts. Excluding overseas districts, the unemployment rate in France stood at 10%, or 2.9 million people, in the second quarter, unchanged from the previous quarter.
The number of people who would like to work but aren’t counted among the ranks of the unemployed was 1.5 million, Insee said, 12,000 less than in the first quarter but 126,000 higher than a year ago.
