The FINANCIAL — French industrial production contracted 0.3% in March compared with February, as declines in the production of energy and water offset gains in other industries, statistics agency Insee said on May 7, according to Nasdaq.
The data was slightly lower than the 0.2% month-on-month decline expected by analysts polled by The Wall Street Journal. Insee raised the February industrial production figure to a 0.5% rise, from 0% previously.
